simplifying fractions

In this blog we are going to discuss about simplifying fractions. What do you mean by simplifying fractions? It means making fractions as simple as possible. Simplifying fractions also known as reducing fractions is a method where you divide the numerator and the denominator by its greatest common factors. It can be done by following a few simple step.

Here is the example:

Simplify `(4y) / 60`
Solution:
Given , `(4y) / 60`
We need to simplify the given term,
Consider  `(4y) / 60` ,
Divided by 4 on both numerator and denominator ,
`(4y)/ 60` = `((4y) / 4) / (60 / 4)`
             = `y / 15`

Next time we will discuss more about  simplifying fractions and i would like to throw more light on this subject for you to get a better understanding on the steps involved in simplifying fractions. For more help on  this you could visit click on this link  help with math for your convenience.
